Overview
Join to apply for the MLD Teacher role at TieTalent. Core subject teaching (Maths, English, or Science) for young people with SEN/SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and other Additional Educational Needs in Berkshire. We are seeking SEN/SEND tutors with a passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners. This role involves 1:1 tutoring with children and young people in a creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approach to raise engagement and educational outcomes.
Targeted Provision aims to raise the standard of educational support for vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported by our team of SEN/SEND Support Specialists and will join a child-centered company committed to improving outcomes for learners.
Responsibilities
* Provide Maths, English, or Science tuition to young people with SEN/SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or other Additional Educational Needs referred to Targeted Provision.
* Deliver flexible, holistic, trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring to support both educational and social-emotional development.
* Plan each session and provide engaging, needs-based instruction.
* Complete lesson reports and provide feedback on progress.
Requirements
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS / QTLS).
* Minimum 2 years of teaching experience.
* Experience working with young people with SEND, SEMH, MLD/SLD, and other additional educational needs.
* Knowledge of safeguarding processes; enhanced DBS (assistance with cost if needed).
* Two professional references.
* Based in the UK with the right to work in the UK, including for remote/online assignments.
* Ability to promote health, safety, and wellbeing of children and young people and to follow safeguarding policies at all times.
Employment status
* This position involves engaging with us as a Worker to provide short-term engagements as they arise.
* Work is contracted on a service basis and paid via PAYE.
* We do not offer a set amount of work or expenses coverage; our insurance covers your work.
* This is not a self-employed tutoring/teaching position.
