Role Description

This is a remote, performance-based Associate role with uncapped earnings potential. Rather than a fixed salary, the Associate receives a direct cut of the advisory fees on every mandate they help close at uncapped percentage economics. Closed deal value is your P&L. Bigger raises, bigger checks, bigger book. This is built for analysts who are ready to step up, run live mandates, and be paid like a dealmaker rather than a desk hire.


As an Associate, you will run multiple capital-raising mandates in parallel as the day-to-day lead. The Managing Partner owns the mandate and sets strategic direction; you drive execution, and you are the face of Saintrose to every client you run. Your responsibilities span four core areas:


* Client management & deal oversight: Discovery calls, positioning, single point of contact for the client, and day-to-day execution across the full 10-16 week mandate lifecycle (discovery, materials, outreach, due diligence, negotiation, close).
* Investor outreach & engagement: Set the targeting strategy, run outreach across our institutional investor and LP universe, qualify investors, manage NDAs and data room access, and create competitive tension through negotiation.
* Analyst management & QC: Brief and assign work to analysts, mentor them to institutional standards, and review every client-facing output before it leaves the firm. Nothing ships without your sign-off.
* Pipeline & process management: Keep the CRM live, maintain client-visible dashboards, and run tight feedback loops on outreach performance. Dead time kills deals; momentum is your job.


Qualifications

* 1-3 years of experience as an analyst in investment banking, capital advisory, private equity, venture capital, corporate development, or transaction advisory
* Strong marketing and positioning instinct. You understand how to package a mandate, craft a compelling investment narrative, and produce investor-facing materials (teasers, CIMs, decks) that cut through a crowded inbox and drive investor response
* Working knowledge of how private markets operate, with particular fluency in the Lower Middle Market: deal sizes, capital structures, investor archetypes (regional PE, family offices, strategic LPs), and the pacing dynamics of sub-institutional raises
* Sharp analytical judgment and the ability to translate raw data into clear investment narratives
* Strong financial modelling skills and the ability to build and interrogate valuation, LBO, and cash flow models from scratch
* Self-starter mentality: you operate with urgency, own outcomes, and can run multiple workstreams in parallel without hand-holding
* Comfortable leading junior analysts: briefing clearly, reviewing output critically, and raising the standard of everyone below you
* Hungry, commercially minded, and motivated by performance-based compensation. You want to eat what you kill.
* Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field (CFA, Master's, or equivalent credentials a plus)
