An excellent and rewarding job opportunity has arisen for an experienced and ambitious individual to join our garage as a PSV Engineer/Mechanic (Afternoon Shift) reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, whilst maintaining the fleet of PCV vehicles here at ourHeckmondwike Depot.
This will involve :
1. Shifts are 5/7 and will involve afternoon shifts, these will be discussed at interview.
2. £16.27 per hour (over time available at enhanced rate)
3. Servicing and repairs to Arriva and DVSA standards.
4. Continuous improvement of vehicle standards
5. MOT preparation
6. Vehicle fault diagnosis and ensuring reliability and maintenance is kept to Arriva Standards (Higher than DVSA)
Requirements:
7. Knowledge of PSV/HGV maintenance with recognised qualifications (E.G level 3 NVQ)
8. Can work safely and unsupervised to pre-set standards and guidelines
9. Electrical knowledge is desirable but not necessary
10. A PCV license is desirable but not necessary
11. Inspection of vehicles for the scheduled maintenance (training can be provided) with IRTEC accreditation favourable
