Location: Bridgwater College Academy, Bridgwater
Contract: Permanent, 30 hours per week (All Year Round)
Actual Starting Salary: £20,743.20 per annum

Bridgwater College Academy is looking for a dedicated Grounds Maintenance Technician to join our friendly Premises team. If you have a green thumb, a great work ethic, and enjoy working in beautiful surroundings that support young people’s education, we’d love to hear from you.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Maintaining school grounds to a high standard: mowing, hedge cutting, pruning, planting, and general upkeep.
* Using a range of grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
* Keeping storage areas tidy and tools well maintained.
* Supporting the delivery of safe, accessible, and beautiful outdoor spaces for students and staff.
* Following environmental and health & safety policies while performing all duties.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture or landscaping.
* A team player with a positive, can‑do attitude.
* Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weathers.
* Enthusiasm for maintaining green spaces and sports pitches.
* Understanding of health & safety procedures and willingness to learn.
It’d Be Great If You Also Have:
* Horticulture or technical qualifications.
* Experience working in an educational or public setting.
* Familiarity with artificial turf maintenance or pesticide use (PA1/PA6).
* Full UK driving licence.
