This is a full-time on-site role to provide 3D CAD Modelling and drawing of mechanical and electrical products and equipment. Produce bill of materials, select components and create library parts of components and sub-assemblies. Involved in design reviews, supporting the design and development of new designs and resolve technical problems with existing products. Perform simple calculations, analysis and assessment of the systems and products to ensure that they meet the requirements.

Key Responsibilities
1. Create 3D CAD Models of component parts to manufacturers data sheets.
2. Create 3D CAD assemblies and sub-assemblies to support the design of equipment and products.
3. Design and develop designs of current and new products in line with the customer requirements and the system architecture.
4. Generation of design documentation, such as specifications, briefs and reports. Authoring of product supporting documents, such as manuals and technical instructions.
5. Prepare and present design documentation and engineering detail for internal review and in a customer forum.
6. Experience related to areas including materials, gears and actuators, mechatronics, electronics packaging, design with composites and pressure containing items will be of value in this role.
7. Monitoring of technical output, time planning and highlighting risks to allow for timely business decisions to be made.
8. Ensure the company's Quality Management System is followed in all matters relating to design engineering.
9. Support customers with installations/technical problems, onsite and remotely.
10. Research new technologies to ensure correct choice of materials, components and methods are being used by the business.
11. Ensure conformance to current legislation, standards & engineering best practices.

Qualifications and Skills
1. An Engineering qualification is preferred, with at least 5 years experience in CAD Design.
2. Competence in the use of CAD tools (SolidEdge preferred) to prepare design models and detailed drawings is required.
3. Analytical and Methodical with an attention to detail.
4. Experience in a design environment working on electro-mechanical systems.
