Overview
Professional Support Assistant – Void's Team (Permanent, Grade 2) at Birmingham City Council. Salary: £24,796 - £26,824. Working 36.5 hours per week. We are a Living Wage Employer, and all roles will be paid as such where the pay scales are below the Living Wage rate.
Location and hours
Location of work (hybrid) – 3 days per week at 150-152 Kings Road, Tyseley, Birmingham, B11 2AP with two days working from home dependent on business and service requirements.
Responsibilities
* Undertake a range of core administration and financial functions to support the office, using departmental databases and systems as part of daily administrative work.
* Interact with customers and liaise with internal/external teams and agencies on a day-to-day basis.
* Handle enquiries with attention to detail to ensure accuracy and confidentiality in line with data protection requirements.
* Contribute to a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment and complete work accurately and in a timely manner.
* Participate in training, mentoring and coaching provided to the successful candidate.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Experienced administrator who is flexible and adaptable with a ‘can do attitude’ and the ability to work under pressure in a busy team where deadlines are crucial.
* Excellent customer service and administration skills; ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection standards.
* Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to process enquiries consistently.
* Willingness to develop skills through regular training and other opportunities.
