Reporting to: Chief Quality Inspector to Quality Manager
Prime Location: Leicester, Meridian Business Park
Hours of Work Day shift – am to pm Monday to Thursday and Friday am to 12 noon. Flexibility to work overtime at weekends required.
Job role
1. To provide efficient and accurate checking of manufactured product, and ensuring conformity to customer drawing and specification.
2. To dimensionally inspect manufactured and purchased product, using a variety of metrology equipment, using Engineering Drawings and Inspection Control Plans, electronically recording and storing the results of those inspections.
3. To conform to Standard Operating Procedures for the correct use of metrology equipment, and to periodically submit to examination for establishing gauge R&R (Repeatability & Reproducibility).
4. To assist in the electronic preparation of Inspection Control Plans and appropriate delegated FAIR documents.
5. To move work within the department and interdepartmentally in a timely fashion, against instructed business priorities.
6. To report non-conforming product to supervision and Team Leaders, to provide information applicable to rectify and to assist in the rapid resolution of non-conformances.
7. Be an interactive team player, promoting and being part of continual improvement, departmental multi-skilling and training in order to achieve world class standards.
