Are you passionate about using data and insight to drive real organisational improvement? We’re looking for a Data Analyst to help shape and deliver an effective performance and business planning framework that enables our client to achieve their strategic goals.
In this key advisory role, you’ll work closely with senior leaders, strategy teams, and service managers to ensure decisions are informed by robust analysis, evidence, and clear performance insight.
About the Role
As a Data Analyst, you’ll take ownership of designing, monitoring, and reporting on organisational performance, helping translate strategic priorities into measurable outcomes. You’ll analyse data trends, identify risks and opportunities, and support the development of evidence-based strategies and policies.
Key responsibilities include:
* Leading the monitoring, analysis, and reporting of performance across the organisation.
* Providing expert advice and insight to senior leaders on organisational effectiveness and progress against objectives.
* Undertaking detailed and complex data analysis to support business cases, strategies, and improvement programmes.
* Coordinating corporate performance and business planning processes.
* Developing and maintaining a consistent approach to performance and risk management, including benchmarking and trend analysis.
* Working collaboratively with service areas to identify underperformance and develop targeted improvement actions.
About You
You’re an analytical thinker with a strategic mindset and a genuine interest in how data and evidence can shape better outcomes. You’ll combine technical ability with excellent communication and influencing skills, able to engage confidently with senior stakeholders.
Essential skills and experience:
* Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
* Proven experience developing and implementing performance, strategy, or policy frameworks in a complex organisation.
* Strong background in data analytics and the use of data to inform decision-making.
* Experience of coordinating business or corporate planning programmes.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate data and analysis into clear, actionable insights.
* Ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders and partners.
* Strong knowledge of analytical tools and software for performance and data reporting.
* Commitment to continuous professional learning and development.
* Experience in horizon scanning or monitoring policy trends.
* Experience in public sector performance frameworks or similar governance environments.
