Job Description and Team

Looking for your next exciting adventure in social work? Bromley are seeking highly talented and ambitious registered Social Workers to join us on our journey to excellence. Bromley is committed to making children and young people in the Borough its top priority. Children’s Social Care at the London Borough of Bromley is progressing well on its journey of improvement and we are seeking highly talented and ambitious people to join us. This role provides you with a unique opportunity to be innovative and aspirational for children.

Over the past 24 months Children’s Social Care at Bromley has changed. We’ve invested in increasing our staff numbers and lowering our caseloads. As we continue to fill up our teams with permanent staff, join us on our journey whilst you still can. The Bromley caseload promise has become a reality: Social Workers in the Safeguarding and Care Planning team have an average caseload of just 12-15 children, which allows you time to focus on undertaking quality social work. You will have time to focus on the child as well as your own development and career ambitions. At Bromley we have structured career pathways from the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment up to Head of Service, so there is no journey too big or too small at Bromley.

Values and Structure

Our values and behaviours play a key part in how staff carry out the work of the Council and how we engage with partner agencies. This framework outlines the desired behaviours that align with our established values. To read more about our REAL Values and Behaviours, please click here: Values and Behaviours.pdf.

We are confident that with your support, we will continue to provide good social care services to our children in Bromley as set out in our improvement and transformation plan. In return we ask that you bring your passion, dedication and skills to us.
