French Teacher Position in Cardiff
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated French Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Cardiff. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective French language lessons to pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4, and potentially Key Stage 5, depending on experience.
Responsibilities:
1. Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality French lessons in line with the national curriculum.
2. Use a variety of teaching techniques to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
3. Assess, monitor, and report on student progress.
4. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages language development.
5. Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
6. Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and wider school initiatives.
7. Support students with their academic and personal development.
Requirements:
1. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
2. Specialism or strong experience in teaching French.
3. Proven experience teaching in a UK secondary school setting.
4. Strong communication and organisational abilities.
5. An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
6. Right to work in the UK.
