Themis Recruit are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Social Housing Solicitor to join our client's dynamic legal team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload involving various aspects of social housing law, providing expert legal advice and representation to registered social landlords, housing associations, and tenants. This role requires a deep understanding of housing law, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to social justice.
The successful candidate will need to assist members of the Social Housing Team in managing a caseload that includes defending disrepair claims brought against our clients, handling county court possession claims, and preparing injunction applications, particularly in cases involving tenant anti-social behaviour.
Requirements
* Any experience working with Housing Associations or Local Authority’s welcome but not essential;
* Excellent computer/technical skills
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Ability to use discretion
* Positive and enthusiastic approach to team work
* A flexible, highly motivated, proactive and ‘can do’ working style
* Self-motivated, ability to use initiative and provide pro-active support to the Social Housing team
* Ability to pay attention to detail and check own work
