The role
Sandy Lane Nursery and Forest School are seeking to appoint a Level 3 Teaching Assistant. Your hours of work will be 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, term time only.
The main purpose of the role is to work with and supervise individuals and groups of children under the direction/instruction of teaching and/or senior staff, inclusive of specific individual learning needs. You will enable access to learning for all pupils and assistance and support in classroom management and behaviour techniques and providing specialist support in a specific curricular/resource area.
You will be a team player, flexible and hard-working, with:
1. A sensitive approach
2. A high expectation of learners both behaviourally and educationally
3. Well-developed communication skills, both with children and adults
4. A willingness to undertake training as required
5. Experience of working with children in Early Years, including working with children with special needs
