Summary
You will be based on Civil/groundwork sites around Hampshire but may on occasion be asked to travel further when needed. You will be responsible for the on-site supervision of a project or section of works, ensuring management in a safe and effective manner, on time and within budgets. You will be responsible for managing direct and sub contract employees.
Responsibilities
* Supervise various Civil/groundworks activities, Service installation drainage etc Concreting, pile mat installations, General groundworks.
* Supervise the productivity of the workforce under your Leadership
* Ensure that the site is managed within Company guidelines
* Record and monitor the quality of the works through progressive stages of the test and inspection plans; the objective being to produce a zero defect product
* Provide detail for the site/contract manager to be able to produce short-term programmes for specific work areas
* Produce a 'quality job, first time' ethos
* Encompass Company change, with a positive attitude and maintain this to all adversity using your experience to guide others to a satisfactory conclusion
* Undertake necessary training as and when required
* Ensure all works carried out comply with current Health & Safety and Environmental legislation, ensuring that all staff are aware of and receive training in all relevant H&S issues.
* To communicate any changes/updates directly with members of the site team
* Communicate any issues regarding delays to your Line Manager, Surveyor and Client
* Good team leadership
* Work to contract scope
* Recognise scope change and highlight variations
* Work to target programme
* Complete daywork sheets
* Ensure completion of daily records/diary
* Ensure completion of electronic weekly returns
* Coordinate allocation of resources with SM/CM
* Complete daily allocation sheets
* Record weekly plant downtime
* Provide information so CM can record RFI's on client information channels
* HS&E Compliance
* Quality Compliance
* Review of RAMS
* Supervising in line with RAMS
* Identify & manage change
The Successful Candidate will have:
* CSCS Card + SSSTS
* First Aid Certificate (4 day) (optional)
* Asbestos Awareness(optional)
* Temporary Works Coordination (optional)
* Must hold a full driving licence.
* Non – licensed Asbestos removal training (optional)
* Fire marshal (optional)
* Cat & Geny
