Evolito’s mission is to accelerate the adoption of electric propulsion in aerospace applications in support of a net-zero world. We will help to revolutionise personal mobility and transform our towns and cities with clean, noise-free air transportation. Evolito develops and manufactures class-leading, lightweight, high-power, and high-torque-density electric propulsion systems for a range of aerospace markets, including EVTOL, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles and General Aviation. As well as ultra-high performance, low-weight electric motors and controllers, Evolito specialises in high integrity, bespoke battery systems for the aerospace and defence markets. The team is scaling rapidly and has ambitious growth plans over the next twelve to eighteen months. As part of our current high-growth phase, we are looking for a Metrology Engineer to develop and execute the metrology strategy to support business objectives, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities will include: Develop and implement the metrology strategy to align with business goals, industry standards, regulatory and customer requirements. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to define measurement requirements and tolerances. Lead capability studies and measurement system analysis (MSA) to ensure accuracy and repeatability. Perform dimensional and geometric verification using advanced metrology tools (e.g., CMM, laser scanners, optical systems). Analyse measurement data to identify trends, deviations, and opportunities for process improvement. Train and mentor technicians and engineers on metrology principles, equipment use, and best practices. Ensure 'Best Practice' is adopted in the selection of inspection techniques, equipment and acceptance criteria Establish and maintain calibration procedures for measurement equipment and systems in accordance with aerospace standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 17025, ISO10012). Ensure traceability of measurements to national/international standards. Manage calibration schedules, records, and compliance documentation.
