Our client, based in Manchester, is currently recruiting for a Repairs and Maintenance Manager on a permanent basis.
The position is due to start immediately on a full-time basis. The salary on offer for the role is up to £50k for the right candidate.
The ideal candidate will have experience working in repairs, and is this is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to further their career into management and making an impact in a forward thinking, growing organisation.
Duties will include (but are not limited to):
1. Overseeing a repairs service for a supported housing provider, made up of three maintenance operatives
2. Managing contracts for outsourced work such as gas/ heating and large-scale capital works
3. Identifying areas for efficiency and cost savings without compromising on output
4. Liaising with local authorities and landlords over the phone, via email and face to face
5. Post inspecting works
6. Dealing with complaints and investigating as required
7. Utilising an in-house scheduling system to allocate works to operatives as required
8. Setting KPIs for the repairs function
Experience required:
9. Experience in supported housing - Desirable
10. Experience working with customers within housing or a repairs background
