This is a rapidly evolving service that supports patients eligible for ADHD assessment, diagnosis, and treatment in Crawley. The post holder will provide clinical leadership to the ABC ADHD Service.
Responsibilities
* Lead clinical delivery for the service, including the potential expansion across West Sussex with multiple locations.
* Support the development of the ADHD team by identifying and addressing knowledge gaps through educational and training activities.
* Work closely with the Service Manager to identify the needs of the interprofessional team and strengthen service delivery.
* Keep up to date with national updates for ADHD and rapidly translate national guidance into local delivery.
* Bring knowledge, experience, and clinical leadership to the team, particularly around the specific health needs of the ADHD population.
* Identify and develop new pathways to enhance patient care across the service footprint by building relationships with key stakeholders such as SCFT, mental health providers, local practices, and third sector organisations.
* Ensure cascading of clinical information within the ADHD service and to external partners such as GP practices, ICBs, and national organisations.
* Understand, identify, and respond to safeguarding issues specific to the population and setting.
* Conduct and oversee audits to ensure clinical KPIs for the service are being measured and met.
* Share best practice in providing healthcare for ADHD patients regionally and nationally through presentations and papers.
* Support the Head of Service in evolving the service in line with the current strategy.
* Work alongside the Service Manager to develop placement opportunities for learners in the service.
* Assist with health needs queries from partners in the voluntary sector.
* Provide a clinical presence at internal meetings and represent the organisation at external meetings relevant to the role (e.g., local ICBs, SCFT, national partners).
* Provide clinical oversight of the service.
* Support local practices that refer patients and to whom patients are discharged, through training events and regular practice meetings.
* Respond to complaints and clinical incidents within the service and implement service improvements.

Qualifications
* Essential:
o Working within ADHD services.
o Clinical leadership of a team, including decision making in mental health clinical scenarios.
o Designing and developing new patient services and pathways.
o Identifying and addressing patient safety issues.
o Clinical supervision of an interprofessional team including GPs, nurses, pharmacists or mental health workers.
o Experience with IT clinical systems (S1, Heidi).
o Identifying and responding to safeguarding concerns.
* Desirable:
o Knowledge of specific health needs of ADHD patients.
o Knowledge and expertise in medication management of ADHD patients.
o Awareness of specific communication needs of this population (e.g., impact on work/housing).
o Knowledge of the need to liaise with local practices.
o UKAAN ADHD Course completion.
o 5 years+ post-CCT experience.
o Additional qualification relevant to this role.
