Job Description
What you can expect
We are recruiting for a Head of Continuous Improvement. This role will be responsible for all continuous improvement projects and initiatives for the UK with a Road Freight focus, reporting to the UK Managing Director.
This senior position will lead and oversee strategic operational projects across business activities, driving service improvement, operational efficiency and successful delivery of business change. This role acts as a driver for positive improvements, delivering through effective leadership between operations, transport, customer service and senior leadership. Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and aligned to commercial and customer objectives maintaining focus on key stakeholders at all times.

Main duties
1. To develop and deliver a continuous improvement strategy in line with business objectives
2. Lead end-to-end delivery of operational and service improvement projects across all areas of the business
3. To work collaboratively with the senior management team, to define project scope, success measures and benefits realization.
4. Translate business strategy into practical, operational change initiatives
5. Own project governance, plans, milestones, risks and dependencies, ensuring clear accountability and delivery discipline.
6. To analyse financial and operational benefits and risks associated with any recommended continuous improvement actions and projects
7. Identify opportunities to improve service offerings, performance, cost efficiency, compliance and scalability
8. Monitor project performance and report progress, risks and outcome to senior leadership
9. Lead cross-functional project teams, providing direction, challenge and support
10. Ensure projects align with health & safety, regulatory and customer service standards
11. Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence
12. Any other tasks deemed appropriate for the role of Head of Continuous Improvements
13. The role will require travel across the UK in line with current business priorities
What you bring

* Proven experience delivering complex operational projects within logistics, transport, supply chain or distribution environments
* Strong understanding of operational processes, service delivery and customer-facing operations
* Demonstrable experience managing business change and process improvement initiatives
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at senior level
* Structured and methodical approach to project management
* Commercially aware, with the ability to balance service quality, cost and operational risk
* Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
* Confident communicator, able to engage both frontline teams and executive stakeholders
