Security Systems Engineer – Corsham / Farnborough
We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established security systems contractor for an experienced Security Systems Engineer. The role is for a data centre client across two fixed sites — Corsham and Farnborough. You will focus on installation, maintenance and fault resolution across access control, CCTV, intruder alarms and intercom systems. Day‑to‑day tasks include PPM, reactive callouts, site surveys and phone‑based technical support.
Responsibilities
* Install, maintain and troubleshoot electronic security systems (access control, CCTV, alarms, intercom).
* Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM).
* Respond to reactive callouts and conduct site surveys.
* Provide phone‑based technical support.
Qualifications
* Experience in CCTV and access control installation.
* Familiarity with Lenel, Gallagher, C‑Cure or Avigilon is a bonus.
* Required holding an ECS/CSCS card.
* Full clean UK driving licence.
* SC/BPSS clearance required.
* Previous experience as an Electronic Security Engineer, Security Service Engineer or Field Service Engineer.
Working Conditions
* Fully site‑based, no hybrid model.
* Compulsory out‑of‑hours rota (1 in 4 weeks).
* Shift starts between 8:00 and 9:00 depending on the week.
* Located along the M3/M4 corridor (Reading, Newbury, Basingstoke, Swindon).
Compensation & Benefits
* £55k (DOE) + benefits.
* 1 in 4 weeks out‑of‑hours rota with approved overtime.
* 30 minutes paid travel time.
* 24 days holiday plus bank holidays and birthday, rising to 27.
