Presales Technical Consultant – Managed IT & Cloud Solutions
We’re hiring two Technical Consultants to join a fast‑growing Managed IT and Cloud Services provider, supporting clients across the UK with innovative, tailored technology solutions.
£60,000 + Car Allowance + Benefits
Hybrid (1–2 days per week in office + client travel)
About the Role
As a Technical Consultant, you’ll partner closely with the sales and technical teams to shape IT, cloud, security, and communication solutions that help clients achieve their goals. This pre‑sales role blends technical expertise with strong commercial acumen — perfect for someone who enjoys engaging with customers, understanding their challenges, and designing solutions that deliver measurable value.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Work alongside Sales to qualify opportunities and scope client requirements.
* Design and present bespoke IT solutions across cloud, networking, cyber security, managed services, and unified communications.
* Run technical discovery sessions and translate findings into proposals and solution designs.
* Deliver presentations and demos to technical and business audiences, including senior stakeholders.
* Collaborate internally to ensure accurate scoping and smooth project handovers.
* Stay up to date with vendor technologies (Microsoft, Cisco, Sophos, etc.) and market trends.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in technical pre‑sales, solution consulting, or sales engineering, ideally within an MSP or IT services provider.
* Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, networking, security, and voice/UC solutions.
* Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
* Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
* Experience designing commercially aligned, technically robust solutions.
* Familiarity with MSP operating models and SLAs.
* Background in project delivery or consultancy.
