ScottishPower are delighted to bring to market a role for a Senior Procurement Consultant to help us lead the way to net zero.
You’ll join at a period of exciting growth as we work to support the expansion and modernisation of our Transmission network and help bring electricity generated from new and existing onshore and offshore wind developments closer to where it is needed. The role is suited to procurement professionals with experience in engineering and construction in the UK or candidates with a quantity surveying background, covering both pre‑ and post‑contract award activities.
Responsibilities
You will:
 * Lead the procurement of high‑value strategic agreements and large projects within the “Strategic Transmission Projects” team, managing supplier engagement, relationships, market intelligence, benchmarking and negotiations.
 * Support the development, construction and operation of significant infrastructure projects, assets, systems and services, providing contracting strategy and competitive tendering.
 * Manage commercial and contractual activities pre‑contract and post‑contract to deliver best value and meet procurement processes.
 * Collaborate with stakeholders to identify commercial risks and ensure they are reflected in technical and commercial information.
Qualifications
 * Experience in engineering and construction contracts and markets in the UK.
 * Background in procurement or quantity surveying with familiarity with NEC contract conditions.
 * Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel for cost modelling.
 * Excellent stakeholder management, persuasive communication and the ability to deliver results against deadlines.
