Job Description:
We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate / Senior Associate Civil Engineer to lead our Civil Infrastructure team in Bristol. Over the last 15+ years, we have built a reputation for delivering high-quality development projects for both public and private sector clients. We are now looking to expand further in the South West and beyond.
Our business has evolved with significant growth in Planning and Urban Design, strengthened by acquisitions like Barton Wilmore and Hydrock, enhancing our technical offerings in buildings and sustainability. Our workload includes public sector projects such as WECA, SCAPE, and NHS SBS, balancing public and private sector work.
Our Bristol office, located in Queen Square, is at the heart of the city centre, near the harbourside and Temple Meads station. We have a friendly, close-knit team working on diverse projects from local infrastructure to large national developments.
Current projects include Gravity, Filton Airfield, YTL Brabazon, Bedminster Green, Bristol Airport, and North Somerset Council BSIP, among others. For more info, visit our Bristol Team & Projects page.
This role involves overseeing projects from inception to completion, advising on regional and national infrastructure projects, and contributing to the strategic direction of our team in the South West. You will mentor junior engineers and collaborate with senior leadership to deliver key projects.
We seek a candidate with a degree in civil engineering or similar, professionally qualified to CEng or IEng, with experience in infrastructure design, highway design, and on-site supervision. Skills in Civils 3D, MicroDrainage, and utility coordination are advantageous.
Joining us offers a collaborative environment, industry awards, competitive benefits, flexible working, and opportunities for career development. Our culture is proud, inclusive, and focused on sustainable growth and community impact.
About Stantec: We are a global community of over 31,000 employees in more than 450 locations, committed to creating sustainable, healthy communities through innovative design and engineering. We provide equal employment opportunities and promote an inclusive, supportive work environment.
