Multi Skilled Operative/Window Fitter

£31,060.00 + Company Van and Fuel Card
This contract provides a 24-hour emergency repair service. The role includes participation in an out-of-hours call-out rota, which can boost earnings by approximately £10k per year, based on one week out of a four-week rota. Participation is optional.
About the role
We are seeking an experienced Multi Skilled Operative to join our repairs and maintenance team in Eastbourne/Lewes. The role involves working on a variety of residential projects, including occupied, void, and communal areas, delivering high standards and excellent customer service.
A UPVC windows and doors fitter is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing UPVC units. Duties include measuring and preparing openings, removing old fittings, fitting new frames, sealing joints, fitting locks and handles, and ensuring all components function correctly, while adhering to health and safety standards. The role also involves supporting timely repair or refurbishment works through additional trade tasks. Fitters are expected to take ownership of construction, fault-finding, and maintenance tasks, aiming for first-time completion within budget and time constraints. Customer experience, professional communication, and electronic documentation are essential. Fitters must maintain company assets, manage materials, attend meetings and training, and participate in emergency call-outs to ensure service continuity and customer satisfaction.
Key Criteria
* UK full driving licence
* Experience with UPVC windows and fittings
* Experience with locks
Applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Visa sponsorship is not available. To drive a company vehicle, candidates must be over 21, have held a licence for over 3 months, and have fewer than 9 points. All roles are subject to DBS/Security checks prior to employment.
