Are you enthusiastic about supporting young learners in Key Stage 1? We are looking for a dedicated Year 1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Preesall this January. This is an excellent opportunity to help children develop essential skills and confidence during a crucial stage of their education.
About the Role:
* Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons
* Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
* Provide one-to-one and small group support, including for pupils with additional needs
* Assist with classroom organisation and resource preparation
* Monitor pupil progress and share feedback with the teacher
* Promote positive behaviour and uphold safeguarding standards
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience working in a KS1 setting (school or similar)
* A caring, proactive approach to supporting young learners
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and child development
* Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
