Overview
Job Description: Telesales / Business Development Representative required. Our client are OEM specialists with resources dedicated to full stack IT infrastructure, high-performance computing, and embedded technology. They are now looking for a Telesales Representative to join their team based in Worthing. The successful candidate will be IT literate and will be reporting to the team leader.
Responsibilities
* Proactively cold call and prospect new clients, booking meetings for external sales team to attend.
* Maintain new prospects lists to create a manageable monthly follow up call list.
* Maintain and develop a computerised customer and prospect database.
* Plan and assist with direct marketing activities for lead generation.
* Attend training to develop relevant knowledge and skills both technically and commercially.
* Continually maintain an effective understanding of the Embedded, industrial and medical IT markets and broad business/economic landscape to enhance sales effectiveness; this will be achieved by self-study and attendance of company led training.
* Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual KPI’s / revenue targets.
Position Requirements / Qualifications
* Self-starter with a drive and determination to build their career.
* Experience in a similar role.
* A highly competitive nature and charisma.
* Excellent written, oral and presentation skills.
* Demonstrable knowledge and expertise of the sales lifecycle and supporting processes.
* The ability to self-motivate, push forward and succeed in a sometimes challenging business change environment.
* IT literate – with a good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Position Remuneration
* Monday to Friday / 40 hours per week.
* Salary £27,000 – £31,000 DOE (+£15,000 OTE).
