The Clementine Churchill Hospital – 37.5 Hours & Permanent
Salary: Up to £37,250.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)
Overview
We have an opportunity for a Radiographer to join the Imaging department at the Clementine Churchill Hospital. This is a full‑time role of 37.5 hours a week with a flexible shift pattern.
Duties
 * Perform a wide range of diagnostic radiographic procedures (e.g., general X‑rays, theatre, fluoroscopy, mobiles) following referral and imaging protocols.
 * Ensure high‑quality images are produced to support accurate diagnosis, minimising the need for repeat exposures.
 * Adapt techniques to meet the needs of individual patients, including paediatrics, bariatrics, and patients with limited mobility.
 * Provide a safe, dignified, and person‑centred service, ensuring patients are informed, comfortable, and reassured throughout their examination.
 * Monitor patients’ conditions during procedures and respond appropriately to any signs of deterioration.
 * Ensure equipment is checked, maintained, and used safely and effectively, reporting faults promptly.
 * Assist in the implementation and use of new imaging technologies, techniques, and digital systems (e.g., PACS, RIS).
 * Work closely with radiologists, consultants, nurses, porters, and admin teams to coordinate care efficiently and maintain smooth patient pathways.
Applicants Should Meet The Following Criteria
 * BSc (Hons) in Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent qualification.
 * HCPC registration as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
 * Experience in general radiographic techniques and equipment.
 * Good understanding of infrared (IR), health & safety, infection control, and patient confidentiality requirements.
 * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a patient‑centred approach.
 * Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
 * Postgraduate experience or additional training in a specialist area (e.g., CT, MRI, theatre imaging, mammography) desirable.
