About the Role
As a Geography Teacher, you will deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that bring physical and human geography to life. You will be responsible for planning and teaching high-quality lessons, assessing student progress, and contributing to the wider school curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Geography lessons in line with the national curriculum
Teach a range of topics including ecosystems, urbanisation, climate change, and tectonic processes
Assess, track, and report on student progress
Support students in achieving their academic potential at GCSE
Contribute to field trips and extracurricular geography activities
Participate in departmental planning and whole-school initiativesAbout You
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
A degree in Geography or a related subject
Strong subject knowledge and a passion for geography education
Ability to inspire, motivate, and manage classroom learning effectively
Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
