We’re building something new at the intersection of synthetic biology and advanced computation and we’re looking for an exceptional scientist to join us.
We’re an early-stage, venture-backed biotech operating in stealth while we develop a platform with the ability to redefine how complex therapies are designed and expressed. Our team combines deep biological expertise with cutting-edge engineering, and we’re now expanding our scientific capabilities as we move into our next phase of growth.
As a key early hire, you’ll work closely with the founders and lab team across our core scientific programmes to solve technically demanding problems with real therapeutic impact. You’ll contribute to the development and demonstration of our innovative mammalian expression systems to improve biomanufacturing productivity and therapeutic performance.
What you'll do:
* Define and perform molecular biology workflows including cloning, gene engineering, vector design.
* Establish mammalian cell expression systems (HEK and CHO).
* Tackle complex scientific challenges using rigorous, first-principles thinking.
* Collaborate closely with founders and a small multidisciplinary team.
* Translate early discoveries into practical applications with industry relevance.
What we're looking for:
* MSc/PhD or equivalent industry experience in molecular biology, cell expression, bioengineering, or related discipline.
* Experience with recombinant protein expression, vector engineering, and/or gene therapy systems.
* Strong grounding in molecular/cellular engineering (cloning, gene engineering, mammalian culture, cell line development).
* Skilled in experimental design, troubleshooting, and data interpretation.
* Thrives in collaborative, fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
* A builder’s mindset: resourceful, thoughtful, and impact-driven.
