Level 3 Teaching Assistant Post
33.5 hrs - Term Time Only + 5 PD Days

Actual Salary £20,344.43 - £20,668.51 (based on NJC point 5 - 7).
The Academy is looking to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Level 3 TA to provide support across school. The position will be within the Key Stage 1 team in the first instance.

Responsibilities
* Support across the school, with initial focus in the Key Stage 1 team.
* Assist with teaching and learning of early Maths and English skills in a school setting.
* Work under the direction of class teachers and higher-level teaching assistants.
* Support individuals or small groups on directed tasks from the teacher.
* Support a teacher when they are out of class.
* Support behaviour and personal care needs of pupils.
* Keep pupil records/notes and provide feedback to the class teacher.
* Work as part of a whole school team and demonstrate initiative, flexibility and adaptability.
* Motivate and engage children in learning and participate in a range of activities.
* Commit to ongoing professional learning and training.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Good standards of English and verbal communication skills.
* Experience of supporting early Maths and English skills within a school setting.
* Ability to work under direction of class teachers and higher-level teaching assistants.
* Experience of working with individuals or small groups on directed tasks from the teacher.
* Experience of supporting when a teacher is out of class.
* Experience of supporting behaviour and personal care needs.
* Ability to maintain pupil records/notes and feed back to the class teacher.
* The ability to work as part of a whole school team and show initiative.
* Commitment to professional learning and engaging in training.
The successful candidate must be reliable, adaptable and have a positive attitude with the ability to engage actively in a wide range of activities.
