Due to the continued growth and expansion of the business, we are looking for an Oncall Supervisor for our Home Instead office in Rotherwas. To ensure that our clients and care professionals receive the appropriate support and a high-quality service.
The Role
We’re looking for a Remote On-Call Supervisor to join our supportive team. This role is vital in ensuring seamless care delivery outside of office hours. You’ll be the first point of contact for Care Professionals and clients during evenings and weekends, providing reassurance, guidance, and practical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Act as the first line of support for staff and clients during on-call hours
2. Provide clear, calm, and professional advice to Care Professionals
3. Escalate urgent issues to the Registered Manager when required
4. Ensure continuity of care by managing last-minute rota changes
5. Record and report all on-call activity accurately

6. Experience in care or health & social care supervision (preferred)
7. Strong communication skills with a calm, empathetic approach
8. Ability to problem-solve under pressure and make sound decisions
9. Confidence working independently and remotely
10. Flexibility to cover evenings and weekends on a rota basis

Qualifications
Essential Criteria
• Previous experience in health & social care, ideally in a supervisory or senior care role.
• Understanding of CQC standards and person-centred care principles.
• Communication Skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to remain calm and empathetic under pressure.
• Confidence in giving clear guidance to Care Professionals and reassurance to clients/families.
• Decision-Making & Problem-Solving
• Ability to assess situations quickly and make sound, safe decisions.
• Strong organisational skills to manage rota changes and urgent care needs.
• Technical Competence
• Comfortable working remotely, using phone, email, and care management systems.
• Ability to record and report on-call activity accurately and promptly.
• Flexibility & Reliability
• This is a salaried role, working patterns are on a shift basis, this will involve working evenings, weekends and bank holidays
