An exciting opportunity has become available for a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join a forward-thinking ALN school in Penarth. This role is perfect for educators who thrive in specialist environments and are committed to supporting pupils with additional learning needs through innovative, sensory-led teaching.
Your Role:
You will be working with primary-aged pupils with ALN, delivering a broad and engaging curriculum tailored to individual needs. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, you’ll ensure communication, regulation, and sensory strategies are meaningfully embedded into daily learning.
This is not a mainstream teaching role it requires creativity, adaptability, and a genuine interest in sensory curricula to support learners with sensory impairments or regulation difficulties.
Key responsibilities include:
* Delivering engaging, differentiated lessons across the primary curriculum
* Implementing and reviewing Individual Development Plans (IDPs)
* Supporting pupils’ emotional regulation and communication needs
* Creating a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
* Collaborating with therapists, support staff, and fellow teachers

Essential Requirements:
To be considered, you will need:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) (or currently completing)
* Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC)
* Enhanced Child & Adult DBS on the Update Service
* Professional references covering the last 24 months
