Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Clinical Trial Administrator to join The Cancer Research UK Cancer Prevention Trials Unit (CPTU) at Queen Mary University of London. Your primary project will be the IMProVE trial (Prostate cancer screening using a risk adapted PSA/image-based approach: Pilot study for a Yorkshire wide comparison with Standard care). Funded by Yorkshire Cancer Research, this study aims to identify the most effective way to screen for prostate cancer in men across Yorkshire. By testing different recruitment strategies and screening methods, the study will generate vital evidence to inform the design of a future phase 3 trial.
Responsibilities
* Provide essential administrative support across the trial lifecycle, facilitating smooth coordination, accurate documentation, and compliance with regulatory standards.
* Manage documentation, coordinate meetings, and support collaboration with trial sites and external partners in line with Good Clinical Practice.
Qualifications and skills
* Detail-oriented and motivated professional seeking hands-on administrative support to a large-scale study.
* Previous experience in clinical research administration is an asset.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills with strong attention to detail.
* Ability to work within regulatory frameworks and support trial documentation and coordination.
About the research environment
The Wolfson Institute of Population Health (WIPH) is an exciting and dynamic environment, home to 450 staff, 100 PhD students and 500 postgraduate taught students. It harnesses expertise across a wide range of population-based research and education activities and aims to be an internationally recognised centre of excellence in population health, primary care and preventive medicine. The Institute is organised into six separate research centres with centre-specific objectives and requirements. The Centre for Cancer Screening, Prevention and Early Diagnosis (CCSPED) forms part of WIPH and includes the CRUK-funded Cancer Prevention Trials Unit (CPTU, Director - Sasieni) and the Cancer Behavioural Science group.
