We are recruiting for a Senior Risk Consultant to join our growing team at one of our offices in London, Manchester, Birmingham, or Bristol.
Role Overview
As a Senior Risk Consultant, you will be responsible for implementing and advising on Risk Management solutions for AECOM’s major infrastructure projects across various sectors.
Working within the AECOM Integrated Programme Controls team, you will engage with senior stakeholders and collaborate with internal, client, and sub-contractor staff to understand risk exposure, establish governance, and support decision-making.
You will be part of an established team supporting multiple capital projects across the UK, with opportunities to work on projects globally.
Key Responsibilities
1. Engage with project teams to ensure effective risk management implementation
2. Contribute risk management input to bids and proposals
3. Perform risk assurance checks for project quality
4. Communicate risk data to senior leaders
5. Produce risk reports for informed decision-making
6. Mentor staff in risk management best practices
7. Identify, assess, and prioritize risks
8. Develop Risk Registers and Management Plans
9. Conduct Quantitative Risk Analysis using techniques like Monte Carlo simulations
10. Design and implement risk management frameworks
11. Support project controls, cost, scheduling, and change management teams

Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum 3+ years in risk management, with at least 2 years on high-value projects
* Bachelor’s Degree or risk management qualification (MOR, APM Risk, IRM)
* Experience in multi-discipline project environments
* Proficiency in industry risk management tools (ARM, Xactium, RiskHive, Predict)
* Experience with Quantitative Risk Analysis tools (Safran, Primavera Risk Analyzer, @Risk)
* Knowledge of ISO31000, IRM, or APM methodologies
* Willingness to travel and work across sectors
* Good people management skills
* Understanding of engineering and construction management
* Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
