We are seeking a skilled and reliable roofer to join our team. The roofer will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining various types of roofing systems on residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. The ideal candidate will have experience with different roofing materials, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and replace roofing materials, such as shingles, tiles, metal, and flat roofs. Inspect roofs for damage and wear, and provide recommendations for repairs or replacements. Measure roof dimensions to estimate materials needed for projects. Apply roofing coatings, such as HPX, sealants, and asphalt, to protect roofs from the elements. Ensure proper ventilation and insulation are installed to enhance roof performance. Remove old roofing materials and prepare surfaces for new installations. Follow all safety guidelines and wear appropriate protective equipment while working at heights. Maintain a clean and organized worksite and properly dispose of waste materials. Communicate effectively with clients and team members to ensure work is completed on time and to the highest standards.
Qualifications: Driving licence essential
Proven experience as a roofer or in a similar construction trade. Knowledge of roofing materials, tools, and techniques. Ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork skills. A valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Roofing certifications or licenses (if applicable) are a plus. Working Conditions:
Work is typically performed outdoors and at heights. Exposure to various weather conditions, including rain, heat, and cold. Ability to work long hours, including weekends, when necessary. Physical demands include lifting heavy materials and standing or kneeling for long periods. Salary: £17- £20 per hour
