Job Description
The Interim HR Consultant responsibilities will include:
3. Provide day‑to‑day employee relations support, advising managers on a range of matters including absence, performance, disciplinary and grievance issues
4. Lead and manage complex or sensitive ER cases, ensuring outcomes are fair, consistent and legally compliant
5. Review existing HR policies, procedures and employment documentation, identifying gaps and areas for improvement
6. Update, create and implement HR policies and processes to ensure compliance with current employment legislation and best practice
7. Support line managers with practical guidance and coaching to build confidence and capability in managing people issues
8. Ensure appropriate documentation, record‑keeping and governance are in place across all ER activity
9. Work closely with senior stakeholders to prioritise actions, manage risk and deliver tangible improvements within the contract period
The Successful Applicant
The successful Interim HR Consultant should have the following:
10. Proven experience operating as an interim HR professional, HR consultant or senior HR generalist
11. Strong background in employee relations, including managing complex and high‑risk cases
12. Solid, practical knowledge of UK employment law
13. Experience reviewing and implementing HR policies, procedures and core people processes
14. Comfortable working in operational, blue‑collar or safety‑critical environments (desirable)
15. Pragmatic, delivery‑focused and able to work autonomously with minimal handover
16. Confident communicator with the credibility to influence managers at all levels

17. A day rate of up to £350 inside ir35 via Umbrella
18. Hybrid working pattern of 3 days in office and 2 from home
19. Interim contract for 3 months
