Job Title: Contract Specialist

Role Overview
We are seeking an organised and experienced Contract Specialist to play a key role in managing contract hand-back and transition activities within a highly regulated defence environment.
This position offers excellent opportunities for training and career progression and would suit a candidate with strong contract management, stakeholder engagement, and programme coordination experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Support audits, reviews, and governance meetings related to contract transitions
* Track and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and milestones throughout the exit lifecycle
* Ensure all required documentation is complete and accurate, including O&M manuals, compliance certificates, and maintenance records
* Lead and coordinate contractual termination with stake
* Ensure all contractual obligations, compliance requirements, and legal duties are met
* Work closely with internal teams to verify accuracy and completeness of contract deliverables
* Maintain and manage the hand-back programme plan, risk register, and associated documentation

Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in contract management, ideally including contract expiry, transition, or hand-back phases
* Eligibility to obtain UK Security Check (SC) clearance
* Ideally but not essential, good understanding of PPP/PFI models, contract law, and asset lifecycle obligations
* Experience supporting or delivering projects or programmes
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
* Ability to interpret technical, legal, and contractual documentation
* Full UK driving licence
