Southern Water is undergoing an extensive digital transformation and seeks skilled professionals to join our collaborative teams to support these initiatives.
As Service Design and Transition Analyst, your role will involve ensuring the effective design and seamless transition of new or modified services into operational environments. You will focus on designing services that meet business and user requirements, ensure operational readiness, and manage end-to-end service transition processes within Digital IT Projects, adhering to governance frameworks.
Responsibilities include:
1. Service Design activities:
o Define roles and responsibilities throughout the project lifecycle.
o Review requirements and collaborate with teams to assess feasibility.
o Coordinate with support teams on support scope and resource needs.
o Develop the Service TCO and agree on toolsets for alerting and monitoring.
o Establish Service Level Agreements aligning with business needs.
o Create and maintain the Service Design Package covering capacity, availability, costs, etc.
o Ensure service designs meet objectives and align with existing landscapes.
o Identify gaps and define Service Transition Plans.
o Participate in design reviews to validate readiness.
2. Service Transition Activities:
o Manage the end-to-end Service Transition process, ensuring compliance.
o Ensure smooth handover from project to operations.
o Provide advice and act as liaison between project managers and stakeholders.
o Identify and mitigate risks related to service delivery.
o Manage elements of project RAID and evidence of testing completion.
o Coordinate Service Acceptance Boards and support early life support.
o Oversee the Acceptance into Service process and post-go-live actions.
Skills & Knowledge required:
* Self-starter with minimal supervision.
* Strong understanding of ITIL practices, especially Service Design, Transition, and Operations.
* Experience in delivering service design and transition within IT projects.
* Expertise in developing support models, SLAs, OLAs, and workflows.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
* Familiarity with project governance and RAID management.
* Experience with operational readiness assessments.
* ITIL Foundation V4 certification and knowledge of IT Project Management methodologies.
