Associate Dentist & Vocational PLVE Trainer - Liverpool
Location: Liverpool, Merseyside.
Hours: Full-time
Practice Type: Mixed NHS & Private
Join a leading dental network with over 100+ surgeries across 35 practices, committed to clinical excellence, patient care, and professional development. We are looking for an experienced, motivated Associate Dentist who is also ready to step into a vocational trainer role supervising PLVE candidates, overseas-qualified dentists working towards Performer List validation.

About The PLVE Trainer Role
This is a unique opportunity to pass on your knowledge and experience to the dentists of the future, supporting overseas-qualified colleagues as they integrate into UK dental practice.
To Be Eligible as a PLVE Trainer, You Must:
Clinical Experience:
* At least 4 years of post-GDC registration clinical experience.
* Minimum 2 years in NHS primary care.
* Currently working in an NHS dental practice eligible to host PLVE candidates.
NHS Performer Status:
* Active NHS Performer Number in good standing.
Training Requirements:
* Completion of an approved PLVE Trainer Preparation Course, or be prepared to complete the course, and we will help/assist, such as:
o NHS ‘Train the Trainer’ (FutureLearn / e-LfH) online course.
o Local Health Education England (HEE) programmes.
* Safeguarding (Level 2/3) and Equality & Diversity training.
Practice Readiness:
* Willingness to support an educational inspection by the deanery.
* Capacity to provide:
o Clinical supervision.
o Evidence of CPD.
o A supportive learning environment.
Ideal Candidate Profile
* GDC-registered dentist with 4+ years post-qualification experience.
* Passionate about mentoring and developing colleagues.
* Committed to delivering excellent NHS and private dentistry.
* Organised and proactive in planning training.
* Positive, collaborative approach to working in a team.
