Vertical Recruitment is working on an exciting opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a respected, independent Construction Consultancy, widely recognised for delivering expert Cost Management and Project Controls services across major UK infrastructure programmes. This role will see the successful candidate embedded within a newly awarded AMP8 water framework in the North West, supporting a long-term programme of work to upgrade and modernise water and wastewater infrastructure. This is a high-profile commission offering excellent exposure to large-scale projects and long-term career development. The Role As part of the consultancy’s Infrastructure Division, you’ll support the post-contract commercial management and cost reporting for a portfolio of water sector projects. The position involves working closely with client teams, contractors and stakeholders to ensure successful delivery under the NEC3/4 suite of contracts. Key Responsibilities * Provide full post-contract Quantity Surveying services across multiple water infrastructure schemes * Manage interim valuations, compensation events, and final accounts * Administer contracts in compliance with NEC3/NEC4 ECC Options A, C, or E * Support cost forecasting, risk assessment, and cash flow analysis * Produce and maintain accurate commercial reporting to support project delivery * Collaborate with project and client teams to ensure best-value outcomes * Contribute to a positive and solutions-focused working environment Requirements * Experience in a Quantity Surveying role within the infrastructure sector (ideally water/wastewater or utilities) * Strong working knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 ECC contracts (Options A, C, or E) * Proven contract administration and post-contract management skills * Ability to manage a varied workload across multiple projects or frameworks * Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills * Willingness to travel to Warrington (up to 3 days per week) as required Desirable * Previous experience on water industry frameworks such as AMP6/7/8 * Familiarity with contract management tools (e.g., CEMAR) * NEC accreditation (working towards or obtained) * Based in, or able to travel regularly to, the North West region What’s on Offer * Opportunity to contribute to a major, long-term water infrastructure programme * Competitive salary and benefits package * Flexible and hybrid working model * Ongoing career development within a growing Infrastructure team If this role sounds like the right next step for you - or if you know someone in your network who may be interested - we’d love to hear from you.
