JOB TITLE: Db2 Mainframe Systems Programmer
SALARY: £47,790 - £53,100
LOCATION(S): Edinburgh
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time at our location listed above.
About this opportunity
As a Db2 Systems Programmer on the zSeries Mainframe you'll be one of a team which are the technical authority for this area. This is a hands-on role where you’ll configure and maintain products and services according to Group standards and policies (and to agreed service levels) and will assist with the delivery of projects within the teams' focus – this includes out of hours. Additionally, you’ll provide technical support (including incident and problem resolution for systems and processes in complex environments).
Key responsibilities
1. Support and implement changes to our estate within Lloyds Banking Group as required.
2. Resolve incidents and problems across the Lloyds Banking Group estate in line with key performance indicators.
3. Represent our support team in WAR room/conference calls with incident management and technical teams, collaborating to restore service.
4. Support testing cycles, providing feedback to test managers on results.
5. Provide 24x7 support and support projects and team workload as needed.
6. Work effectively with wider Mainframe teams to ensure a smooth transition of projects into live service.
7. Provide consultancy skills to application teams as required.

What skills you’ll need
8. A highly motivated and encouraging teammate with a strong delivery ethic, willing to work unsociable hours when required and at short notice to support incidents and delivery of key projects.
9. Determination to recognise and drive through service improvements related to products and processes across the z/DB Platform.
10. Support the Sign-off that solution/service is fit for Production environment as part of Gateway, working effectively with the project teams to ensure an efficient handover to support
11. Db2 knowledge on the Mainframe
12. Delivery experience ideally operating in multifaceted IT environments
