Youll work alongside subject matter experts, providing safety advice, guidance, and leadership across a range of surface and sub-surface projects and programmes within the UK defence and maritime sectors.

You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, while meeting both client and company expectations.
Your knowledge of safety and risk management techniques, processes, and frameworks will help clients understand and comply with UK safety legislation and MOD safety policy.
What Youll Be Doing Delivering safety documentation and analysis for maritime programmes.
Providing independent, expert advice on safety assurance and risk management.
Applying MOD safety processes such as DEFSTAN 00-056, JSP 430, and POSMS.
Producing key artefacts including hazard logs, safety case reports, and ALARP justifications.
Engaging with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety requirements are met.
Supporting growth through business development, bid writing, and technical consultancy.
Key Skills and Experience Essential: Proven experience in maritime safety engineering.
Working knowledge of MOD safety processes (e.g., DSA regulations, DEFSTAN 00-056, JSP 430, POSMS).
Eligible for SC Security Clearance (existing clearance preferred).
Strong authoring skills for safety documentation (hazard logs, safety cases, ALARP statements).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 applications.
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
