Overview
Locum Pharmacist – Diabetes Management Specialist in Loughborough, 13 Hours per Week, from £40 per hour (Ltd). This role is with a friendly and supportive GP practice on a part-time locum basis. The pharmacist will focus on diabetes management to improve patient outcomes in a primary care setting.
Responsibilities
* Conduct structured medication reviews for diabetic patients
* Support optimisation of diabetes therapies in line with current guidelines
* Provide patient education and lifestyle advice
* Work collaboratively with GPs, nurses, and the wider MDT
* Assist with long-term condition management and prescribing support
* Identify and support achievement of QOF and local enhanced service targets
Requirements
* GPhC-registered Pharmacist
* Experience working within GP practice or primary care preferred
* Strong clinical knowledge in diabetes management
* Independent Prescriber qualification desirable but not essential
* Excellent communication and patient care skills
Contract Details
* Locum contract, 13 hours per week (flexible working pattern considered)
* Based within a GP practice in Loughborough
* Pay negotiable depending on experience, starting from £40 per hour (Ltd)
