The NHS Talking Therapies Service covering South West Hertfordshire, including Watford, Three Rivers and Hertsmere boroughs, is looking to employ a Senior Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner. The role, working closely with the PWPs they supervise, plays a central role in ensuring our service is of the best quality, with the best outcomes for our service users. Hertfordshire was one of the original 11 Pathfinder sites for the development of Talking Therapies Services, commencing in 2007/8 and has since developed through 1st and 2nd wave expansion sites to provide a well –resourced and innovative Talking Therapies service across the whole of the county. Our Trust has been awarded ‘Outstanding’ status by the Care quality Commission and our Talking Therapies Service is APPS accredited. The key part of this role will be to provide clinical supervision, professional support and development for PWPs within the service. The Senior PWP will work alongside the team's Clinical and Operational Leadership to maintain quality, stability, safety and clinical efficacy. There will be opportunities for ongoing professional development as well as the chance to contribute to further service development. You will be an experienced PWP with at least 1 year post qualification experience as a PWP, more if you have been part time over that period, and with a recognised Talking Therapies qualification in Step 2 intervention and will be registered or working towards PWP accreditation with the BABCP or BPS. The position provides an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced PWP to lead in the further development of the PWP role promoting professionalism and cohesion with a wonderfully diverse team of PWPs working in a hybrid or blended style.
