Construction Estimator New Build, Refurbishment & Civils
Location: Gateshead (North East Based)
Salary: £70,000 - £80,000
Travis Talent is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established construction business based in Gateshead, who are looking to appoint an experienced Construction Estimator to support their continued growth across new build, refurbishment, and civil engineering projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Estimator to join a forward-thinking contractor with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality projects across the North East.
The Role
Youll play a key role in producing accurate and competitive cost estimates from initial concept through to final tender submission. Working closely with the Commercial and Operations Directors, youll help shape winning bids and ensure cost plans are robust, realistic, and strategically aligned to the companys objectives.
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for new build, refurbishment, and civils projects.
2. Review drawings, specifications, and tender documentation to assess project requirements.
3. Obtain and analyse subcontractor and supplier quotations.
4. Carry out site visits to understand project scope, challenges, and opportunities.
