Our client are a leading manufacturing business and we're supporting them to recruit a Buyer to join their team. Reporting to the Senior Buyer, you will be responsible for purchasing related activity ensuring that material (direct and indirect) is available when needed and supply is optimised in-line with company strategies. Key duties: Obtain quotations, negotiate pricing, lead-times and payment terms Generate and issue purchase orders and obtain order acknowledgements Manage deliveries and inventory (expediting and rescheduling) and keep the MRP system updated with current delivery dates Liaise with internal stakeholders regarding the status of indirect purchase orders Input and maintain master data within the MRP system Manage and implement design changes with minimal business impact
