 
        An established and growing business based in Crawley is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is a hands-on, high-impact role overseeing all aspects of financial management, reporting, and control during a key year-end and audit transition period. The Role As Financial Controller, you will take ownership of the day-to-day finance operations, leading a small but capable team and ensuring robust financial governance across the business. You’ll be responsible for managing cash, delivering accurate management accounts, and leading statutory reporting through to audit completion. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the finance team, including Credit Control, Payments, and Transactional Finance. Manage cashflow, working capital, and daily treasury activities. Deliver monthly management accounts and board reporting with accuracy and insight. Oversee the year-end close (31 October) including consolidation and statutory accounts. Lead the audit process and manage the transition to a new audit firm. Ensure all statutory and group reporting deadlines are met. Identify opportunities to streamline and modernise finance processes and controls. About You Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with solid technical reporting experience. Strong background in financial control, statutory reporting, and consolidation. Hands-on and pragmatic, able to work in a fast-paced, change-focused environment. Proven experience managing small teams and driving process improvement. Available to start as soon as possible and commit to a 12-month contract.
