SEND Teacher

Contract Type: Part time, ongoing
We are currently working with a specialist school in the Wakefield area who are looking to recruit a Teacher to start ASAP and work on an ongoing basis. The school caters for children in EYFS and KS1 with communication and interaction needs as well as autism. This is a part time role, working 2-3 days per week and has the potential to become a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons based on an EYFS and KS1 curriculum
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports learning and progress
Use a variety of teaching strategies to meet diverse learner needs
Assess and mark student work, providing constructive feedback to aid development
Work collaboratively with school staff and contribute to pastoral care and extracurricular activitiesCandidate Requirements
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (PGCE, SCITT, etc.)
Recent teaching experience in UK schools
Experience delivering lessons to children with a range of SEND
Enhanced DBS certificate on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
Completed Level 1 Safeguarding training (or willingness to complete online)
