Our Client, a leading engineering and design consultancy, is seeking a Quatity Surveyor / Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Leeds, Derby, or Sheffield.\n\nExperience Required:\n\n- Ideally MRICS qualified or working towards the APC.\n\n- Aptitude for a logical approach to problems and work generally.\n\n- Confident use of Microsoft Office and other role-related software packages, e.g. CostX.\n\n- Market savvy and commercially minded, able to see the opportunity and to develop it. - Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and identify key issues.\n\n- Energetic and enthusiastic with a willingness to work independently, whilst also being a strong team player.\n\n- Engaging and approachable with strong communication and presentation skills.\n\n- Able to inspire, gain trust and motivate.\n\nJob Responsibilities:\n\n- Be able to attend offices in either Leeds, Derby or Sheffield for a minimum of 1-2 days per week.\n\n- Work as part of a team, providing commercial assistance to the client on a day-to-day basis.\n\n- Carry out both pre- and post-contract work.\n\n- Assist in the preparation of various classes of estimates based on available design information.\n\n- Agreement of valuations and site measures with contractors.\n\n- Produce monthly project reports.\n\n- Production of reports for client review.\n\n- Agreement of final accounts.\n\n- Production of cost estimates.\n\n- Attend and participate in project meetings.\n\n- Support the client PM and project team with the management of contracts.\n\n- Support project reviews and audits.\n\n- Ability to take ownership of work packages, aspects of projects or projects with minimum supervision
