An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced finance professional to join NHS Tayside as a Senior Finance Manager. This role offers the chance to work in a fast-paced, complex, and rewarding environment, contributing to the financial strategy and operational management of NHS Tayside.
As a Senior Finance Manager, you will play a vital role in shaping the financial future of health and social care services, making a real difference to communities across Tayside.
NHS Tayside covers the Angus, Dundee and Perth & Kinross localities, serving a population of 414,000, employing over 14,000 staff. We work collaboratively with our three Integration Joint Boards and other stakeholders; local authorities, universities and third sector partners. One of the four teaching hospitals in Scotland we provide a comprehensive range of services across primary care, community services and acute hospitals.
The time to join NHS Tayside is now, as we respond to the Scottish Governments ambitions of a more accessible, more person centred NHS by using digital and technological innovation to improve access to care. We will undergo a process of reform and renewal to design services that are safe, effective and of a high quality.
Reporting to the Assistant Director of Finance the post holder will have lead responsibility for ensuring a robust management accounts service is provided to NHS Tayside. As a member of the Senior Finance Team the post holder will assist in the delivery of all financial targets and take lead responsibility for specific aspects of the strategic and operational financial management agenda across NHS Tayside.
Applicants should be able to demonstrate experience in a senior finance role, extensive knowledge of the local finance agenda and the strategic objectives of NHS Tayside and knowledge and experience in the completion of financial elements of business cases and contracts. Applicants must be able to work autonomously and use creative problem solving skills to deal with a wide range of financial issues.
You will be required to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and to comply with the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.
