We’re looking for down-to-earth people, with bags of energy, ready to make their mark on the automotive industry. Our Site Operations and Driving teams play a vital role across our business. To support the Centre Manager through fulfilling the role of duty manager, overseeing all aspects of the operation as required, including health and safety, production, logistics and aftersales.
To deliver all elements of effective people management including recruitment, training, performance management, communication and wellbeing.
To lead the Workshop with all aspects of mechanical and cosmetic vehicle repair. Ensuring both volume and financial targets are met.
Duty Management:
- Support a culture of safety ensuring standards are met and any non-conformances swiftly addressed.
- Share responsibility for ISO and Security with the rest of the Management Team.
- Handle queries and complaints raised by either internal or external stakeholders through to swift and professional resolution.
- Support other locations as required.
People Management:
- Performance management of the team including training, coaching and appraisals to ensure both optimum performance and talent pipeline.
- Effective workforce management, including absence planning, ensuring optimum staff levels at all times and adherence to working time directive.
- Operational Management:
- Accountable for the timely production of high quality cosmetic and mechanical repairs.
- With a health and safety-first approach ensure that quality, speed and cost targets are delivered to maximise profitability.
- Effective WIP management, maximising volume and revenue.
- Identifying any patterns, trends, and opportunities for improving performance and working with the Centre Manager and VE Team to set and monitor KPI’s across the Centre
Understanding and experience of mechanical and bodyshop environments and techniques
- Full UK Driving Licence
Excellent time management
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office – including Excel and Powerpoint, IT skills
- Data, decisions & problem solving
- Technical competence in vehicle repairs, both mechanical and cosmetic
