We’re looking for a Senior Commissioning Officer to join our forward‑thinking Adult Social Care team at Solihull Council. This is an exciting opportunity to play a meaningful role in designing, delivering and improving services that place prevention, independence and quality at the heart of what we do. What you’ll be doing In this influential role, you’ll: Lead the commissioning of adult social care services that make a real difference to residents’ lives. Manage a portfolio of contracts, projects and partnerships, ensuring services are high‑quality, value for money and delivered on time and within budget. Work across adult social care strategy and service development, collaborating with colleagues, providers and partners. Use insight, data and evidence to shape decisions and drive continuous improvement. Be part of an enthusiastic, supportive team committed to improving outcomes for people who need care and support. What we’re looking for You’ll bring: Experience working within adult social care or health commissioning. Strong contract management experience, with a proven track record of successful project delivery. Confidence in analysing and interpreting complex information to inform sound decision‑making. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
